Bajan Records, home to recording artist Teecha, PoeticWorkz and Kolateral Kontak Formed in the early 80's by producer Lionel Crawford as a way to make his recordings available to the public. he created Bajan records and started releasing records. Cropover, the first Soca single by Teecha, was released in 1984 and gave him full artistic control.This first Soca single was distributed in the Caribbean by WIRL Records and was also released in the United States.
In 2000, Bajan Records released "Evelyn" by the legandary Lew Drayton and a musical partnership was formed with Lew writing and singing, and Lionel co-writing, arranging and producing. This musical partnership is limited, however, to Lew's solo work, as he is still an active member of The Draytons Two, a vocal duo that has earned its place in the history of Barbadian music.
Bajan records has,in the past, featured other artist that incorporated different musical styles, such as R & B, Hip-Hop, Rock and Rap. "It's A Family Thing" by Teecha featuring Pat Thompson, released in 1995, also featured Rapper Jamaal Foy.
Bridging De Gap, was the first album release from Teecha in 1996 and contained the songs "Big Money" and "Wickets Flying".
