I was recruited to play with People of Goodwill in 2005 by bassist Steve Muse. The band had recently lost saxophonist Judd Watts, who had died and keyboard player Bill Mocarsky who had moved to another state. I played the University of Connecticut Cultural Explosion outdoor concert with them. Kalim played keys on that date. The set included songs from the band's CD "The Gathering". I really enjoyed playing with POG because of the instrumentation, heavy percussion, and the material which changes time signatures and musical styles often.
