The WHCN Homegrown Album was a compilation of some of the best Southern New England had to offer with live tracks recorded at Shaboo Inn, Willimantic, CT and entire album mixed at The Nineteen Studio, Hartford, CT. Pressure Point appears on side 1 track 2 with the song "I'll Make It Worth Your While" which was recorded and mixed at Trod Nossel, Wallingford, CT and featured the song bird Patricia Thompson, Lead vocals; Groege Montgomery, vocals; Ramon Santiago & Glen Weiss Trumpet; Earl Calloway, saxophone; Pete Hendrick, bass; Gary Nelson, drums; Lionel Crawford, guitar.

About Bridging De Gap Side one, track one, "Tuk Band Marching" recreates a traditional Tuk band performing along the streets of Barbados.  "Pack up so" and "Wickets Flying" are two comically delivered tracks, the former describes an actual incident at the 1995 Cohobblopot held at the National Stadium in Barbados, where the event was so well attended that even Teecha could not get in. The later pokes fun at a fictitious batsman who is no match for a female opponent who, sends his wickets flying. "Long, Long Time" personifies Barbados as a woman who helped to guide a young man through life, while, The party tune " Don't Touch Me So " is a reminder to men that they must be careful with their hands when dancing. Side two, track one, opens with the ever too familiar saying "Blin' me I'm broke' uttered by a second generation West Indian from across "de gap" and the song "Big Money" is off on a road march pace and addressing the socio-economical situation throughout the entire world with well voiced lines like " can't find work, can't find a job, every time you mek' money I get rob... to the refrain "Big money run de country.The very spiritual "If You Believe"  addresses the different types of religions and prophets in which we, as people believe. "Children Play"  is a reflection on the writer's childhood and takes the listener back through a period of "Bajan adolescence, while the title track "Bridgin De Gap", though the mission statement for the album, is the final track of this collection but makes the strongest statement.  It closes this series of stories and thoughts by offering us the bridge. All we nedo is simply walk across.

About Evelyn / Kadooment Morning Lew Drayton is back on the music scene with this 12” vinyl selection. Barbados’ Spouge man, this time is riding the Pop-A-Tuk Rhythm to Ask sweetheart Evelyn, “where you been, Evelyn come on in, Evelyn don’t stand out side, we got nothing to hide.”  Lyrics penned y Lew. The music is tight and well arranged, with the steel pan solo definitely adding flavor to the mix. On Kadooment Morning, Lew sings about meeting up with a young lady On the final day of Cropover, early in the morning and the two are getting Ready to fete. Enough said.

About It’s A Family Thing According to Teecha, the concept for this project was directly in conjunction with  the idea of doing a theme song for the annual Family Day Festival, held in Kenny Park, Hartford, Connecticut, and the opportunity to work with vocalist Pat Thompson once again. For this project, Teecha collaborated with Latoya Blanks, who penned the lyrics and represented the spirit of the Family Day Festival quite well. Additional lyrics, music, rap and riffs by Teecha. About Take Control / Gine Home Take Control is a social conscious song, which bringsThe dissatisfaction of the poor and middle class to the Forefront. Lyrically, It fires off a warning from the paycheck to Paycheck generation that things could get a lot worst if someoneDoes not take control. On the other hand, Gine Home is a comical view of the case of the older West Indian who never fails to remind the younger onesthat they  “Gine Home, gine back home tomorrow.” The music, including the horns, hit hard on this Soca track. Pre-production on both recordings was done at Blue House Studio.Vocals were tracked at Carl Henry’s studio and mixed at PresenceRecording Studio. 

The debut single from Teecha was released both in the USA and Barbados. The song Crop Over was written as a tribute to the Cropover Festival annually held in Barbados to celebrate the ending of the crop season. This track has a nice jump up party feel and was the first solo release by Teecha which exclusively featured Barbadian music.

"Come Inside" the debut single by Hartford's own Pressure Point Band was released on Elrod Records and captured the emotions and dynamics of this group; Roland Carter, lead vocals & guitar; Lionel Crawford, vocals & guitar; Peter Hendrick, Lead vocals & Bass, Paul Priester, vocals & Saxophones; Andre Brock, drums. Additional guitar played by the late Jeffrey Mitchell. This track, written arranged & produced by Lionel, was recorded at Reel Dreams in Bloomfield, CT. For more on Pressure Point click here.
